We’re constantly trying to figure out how to be more mindful during the holidays. I am usually a little grumpy this time of year until I switch over to lip-synching Mariah Carey and going full-on Vegas with lights. Last year, we made our tree out of books so we didn’t have to waste a real one (Americans cut down and then discard more than 15 million each year for the holidays.) Consider it an avant-garde deconstruction, if you will.

Anyway, we made it to a CNN story on having a sustainable holiday for our effort.

Thinking about how to do an alternate tree this year. Any ideas?
