I’m Vanessa McGrady, a journalist and content strategist with a deep interest in sustainability. Look, I sometimes forget my water bottle. I have been known to take a bath or two during the drought. Nobody’s eco-perfect, and if they insist they are, they’re either lying or they’re probably someone you don’t want to hang out with.
But I do want to live a meaningful, thoughtful life. I want to leave this place–the city, the earth, my home, wherever I am–better than I found it. I love elegant, practical and efficient solutions. I like to save money. I don’t want my discarded plastic thing to be somebody else’s problem down the line.
And at the end of it all, I want my daughter to understand the fragility of life and the complex interconnection of everything and everyone on this planet. That’s why I started this blog. Because maybe you do too.
